Launch: Youth Summit

13 Youth Organizations from all over Greater Boston, from Dorchester to Somerville to Newton

Employers, youth serving organizations, and policy makers

The Focus

The Summit created an opportunity for teens from diverse communities to learn from each other, and build relationships

The teens engaged with adults on their communities' challenges and their causes, and identified solutions

Outcomes

Youth participants prioritized key challenges for our work going forward:

  • Youth employment​

  • Strengthening community and support networks

  • Improving communities' response to mental wellness

How can we strengthen community and support for and with young people?

Outcomes

This summit Sparked the launch of the "Building a Stronger and Safer South Boston" community partnership

Created a roadmap for building new community partnerships to strengthen support networks
